Location: Petaling Jaya


  • Lead a team of commercial/contract lead and engineers in commercial/contract management and administration activities
  • Provide strategy level guidance and leadership to the commercial/contracts team. Work closely with Senior Operations Managers and Procurement Manager in formulating and negotiating/influencing commercial/contract terms with existing and potential customers.
  • Provide strategy level guidance to Supply Chain organisation in negotiating commercial.contract terms with major sub-suppliers to ensure alignment with commercial/contract terms from end customer.
  • Develop strategy and business model and ensure the success of the operation.
  • Conduct business negotiations.


  • Degree in Finance Management/ Business Management
  •  At least 10 years of work experience at a contracts lead/manager level
  • Experience in negotiating contracts
  • Must have experience for price escalation calculations.
  • Prior experience in negotiating aftermarket service type contracts would be very advantageous.

Protect and grow assigned accounts through consultative and strategic selling techniques and prospecting for new accounts. The main objective is to obtain new sales for the Employer’s product lines, meeting face to face with key buying influences and demonstrating value through end-application presentations and demonstrations as well as negotiating for new business with ingredient buyers.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Responsible for sales volume growth with each customer on the employers
  2. Maintain old and develop new customers always striving to increase the quality of communication between Employer and assigned customers.
  3. Proficient negotiation skills.
  4. Proficient in the delivery of customized presentations to key accounts. 
Responsible for determining the presentation objective and managing 
the planning of resources needed.
  5. Strive for greatest possible coverage with assigned accounts by using a 
combination of commission agents and direct sales contacts.
  6. Continually gather and assess information on pricing, product quality, 
applications and competitive activity, and to recommend policy changes.
  7. Develop annual forecasts for assigned accounts.
  8. Maintain clear records of activity with each account.
  9. Monitor, expedite, develop and assist with support functions for 
customers i.e. customer service, regulatory, technical and applications 
  10. Represent Employer at tradeshows, meetings and conventions.
  11. To fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position in a fashion consistent with Employer’s VALUES.
  12. To be aware of the company’s Q.A. policy and objectives.

Education/Experience/Skills: Required

  1. FoodScienceorrelatedtechnical area is an added advantage.
  2. Proficiency in English, good communication skill in both oral and written.
  3. Possess knowledge in computer applications (ex: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
  4. Self-directedandself-motivated, Strong willingness to take responsibility and to 
solve problems.
  5. 50% travel with assigned accounts.
